Digital automation at the heart of businesses by 2020 and it starts with marketing automation
On June 28, Parkour3 announced an important partnership with open source software publisher Mautic. This makes Parkour3 the first Canadian digital agency partner, Mautic being the most popular open source marketing automation software on the web.
According to a 2017 BMC Software survey, 94% of respondents embraced this prospect of digital automation, stating that automation will be an integral part of all business arenas by the year 2020, to meet the rapid need for innovation.
In our view, Mautic is the future WordPress inmarketing automation. Innovation in this field will be rapid over the next few years. We believe that marketing processes are the most likely to be automated in the near future. What's more, if these companies don't do it, 74% of respondents to this survey indicate that it could drive them out of business within ten years. Like the manufacturing sector in the past, players who fail to automate their production will find it difficult to survive in the face of international competition.
According to statistics offered by HubSpot, the two biggest challenges facing companies in the marketing field are:
- Generating traffic and leads (63%)
- Demonstrating the ROI of marketing tactics (40%)
Automation doesn't generate leads as such. However, with the right strategies and tactics in place, these platforms can identify the best potential leads. By deploying the right digital marketing tactics, we quickly realize that the problem is not lead generation, but identifying the right leads. By good leads we mean those that can be converted into sales. For example, it's easy enough to generate a large number of downloads of a piece of content. What's more difficult is to identify the contacts who have downloaded our content pieces who are most likely to become our customers and thus generate sales.
Of course, you need leads, but the most important thing is to generate sales. To do this, we need to identify the best leads and implement tactics to convert them into sales. What better way to demonstrate the return on investment of marketing tactics than by generating sales?
